National Podcast Day

September 30 is National Podcast Day! Did you know that the word ‘podcast’ is derived from the words ‘iPod’ and ‘broadcast’ because most people were using the Apple iPod to listen to podcasts when the term was coined in 2004? Today, over 850,000 active podcasts are streamed using platforms such as Apple Podcasts (formerly iTunes), Google Podcasts and Spotify.

Podcasts can effectively educate audiences on services and products, while communicating company philosophy and culture.
