Oh What a Night! In October ACLD hosted their annual Enviable Life Ball at the Garden City Hotel, the agency’s largest fundraiser of the year. With 250 in attendance, ACLD raised more than $275,000 to advance the organization’s mission of providing opportunities for children and adults with disabilities to pursue enviable lives, to increase their independence and foster supportive relationships within the community. Guests were treated to a special live musical performance by Liam Pearce, a rising star and lead actor in the new Broadway musical, “How to Dance in Ohio”, which is now in previews in New York City. Pearce is on the autism spectrum and performed to support ACLD’s mission, demonstrating to all that people with autism can achieve amazing success.
Honorees for the event included the Lever Family who were recognized with the ACLD Leadership Award. Members of The Italian Welfare League were also on-hand and presented with the ACLD Humanitarian Award.
Cheers to another incredible ACLD Gala, and a celebratory moment for the Lever Family and the Italian Welfare League for all they do to support the mission of ACLD.
