Bollywood on Long Island!!

Bollywood on Long Island!!

There is no event quite like the annual Long Island Elite (LIE) charity masquerade – supporting a new charity each year. Guests and supporters come together for an entertaining, over-the-top extravaganza that raises money and awareness for LIE’s Charity Partner of the Year. Progressive Marketing Group’s vice president, Gary S. Cucchi, has been a member of LIE for 17 years, providing media relations services and countless hours of charitable support.

“We always say, LIE is like family…and there is a lot of truth to that,” commented Cucchi. “We are like-minded people who get together, share the same values and volunteer time and services to help raise awareness and support for a charity.  The relationships that are built are priceless, and the work that we’re doing together goes a long way. I’m proud of our LIE accomplishments and helping organizations such as Long Island Reach gives us purpose.”

This year’s Bollywood-themed event attracted over 315 guests to one of Long Island’s premier event spaces, Oheka Castle in Cold Spring Hills (Huntington). Attendees were transported to vibrant India, and throughout the evening they experienced the magic, beauty and majesty of India’s passionate culture and cinematic history. The event supported Long Island Reach, a Long Beach-based organization whose mission is to work with troubled youth and families to help them learn better ways to cope with pain, enhance self-esteem, develop self-awareness, treat chemical dependency issues and create healthy alternatives to self-destructive behavior.
